This program is a research-dedicated event organized by the Faculty of Medicine, UiTM. In keeping with the “Translational Research Year 2017” announced by the Ministry of Higher Education, the theme selected for this year is “Transforming healthcare through innovative research and interdisciplinary collaboration”.
As a continuum of the “Research Week 2015”, this year’s conference hinges on the transformation of research into innovations which cater to societal and industrial needs. With that in mind, the program was developed to address the essential elements in translational research and to provide a platform for researchers to enhance knowledge and understanding of the research quadruple-helix concept, where government, academia, industry and community synergies to produce solutions to national and international health issues. Interdisciplinary research, as well as research innovations and impact, are the three important domains that will be addressed by the conference.
It is hoped that upon completion of this program, researchers, students, and staff would acquire a comprehensive understanding of the importance of translational research in healthcare and to ensure that the translational research concept is adopted and practiced effectively.
